The End of the
Universe Collection

On November 23, 1963, the BBC launched the world's longest running science fiction television series when it aired the premiere episode of Doctor Who. 

To celebrate the Doctor's 40th Anniversary, BBC Video presents the largest Doctor Who video collection ever assembled. On home video for the first time, these eleven adventures span 16 of Doctor Who's 26 seasons. 

With four Doctors, 19 companions, 56 episodes and 46 cliffhangers, fans will agree that this cosmic collection is "bigger on the inside."

• The conclusion of the VHS range of Doctor Who goes out with a bang.  Included in the set are the remaining 11 stories yet to be released.  At the previous rate, it would have taken another 2 years to release all of these stories.  

• With this release, all existing episodes of Doctor Who are now available on VHS.

• Besides being sold as a collection, each story will be released individually as well.  Click on a title below for more details.

• One irony is that while the U.K. has generally been at least a year or even two years ahead in their release schedule, this final push of titles will include "The Reign of Terror" collectors set (out one month earlier than in the U.K.).  To get a title here in North America before the U.K. is very rare indeed.

• The Doctor Who Restoration Team did extensive work on this video release by cleaning up both picture and sound as well as color restoration on "The Ambassadors of Death" and VidFIREing "The Sensorites," "The Reign of Terror," "The Gunfighters," as well as parts of "The Ambassadors of Death" and "Invasion of the Dinosaurs."
