"I have just dipped into the future. We must be prepared for the worst."

Haunted by a shadowy watcher, the Doctor’s bound for Logopolis in search of a new Chameleon circuit for the TARDIS.  But unknown to the Doctor, a dangerous stowaway is on board-his arch enemy, the Master.  Now in a new body, the Master is still bent on domination of the universe, and his plan could rock Logopolis, the keystone of life.   Unless the Doctor can stop him, it could mean the unraveling of the causal nexus and the end of the universe itself! 

This historic four-part adventure marks the end of the Tom Baker era, the fourth regeneration of Doctor Who.

• "Logopolis" is Tom Baker's final appearance as the Doctor.  He is forced to regenerate by the stories end.  His era was longer than any other Doctor's (lasting 7 seasons).

• "Logopolis" is the second story in the loosely based Master story arc (the first story being "The Keeper of Traken" and the third "Castrovalva").

• The third and final companion for the next Doctor is added with Tegan Jovanka (played by Janet Fielding).

• The British public would have to wait quite a while to see the new Doctor (played by Peter Davison).  This was because of an unusually long gap which left curious fans waiting for over a year before the next season premiered.
