8th Dr.-Ummm . . . (embarrassed)
no, it's the twenty third century.
(The Stones of Venice, 36Kb)
8th Dr.- Existential angst, eh?
(The Stones of Venice, 16Kb)
8th Dr.- Ah, we're about to arrive.
(The Stones of Venice, 14Kb)
8th Dr.- What kind of attitude is that?!!
(The Stones of Venice, 19Kb)
8th Dr.- Knocked out, blindfolded, banged up
in a cellar . . . it's all par for the course.
(The Stones of Venice, 41Kb)
8th Dr.- Do you know, I used to be terribly
good at name dropping, bluffing my way into places. I mean, these days I
can't do it for toffee.
(The Stones of Venice, 63Kb)
8th Dr.- I can see how you might be.
(The Stones of Venice, 15Kb)
8th Dr.- I can't believe THAT.
(The Stones of Venice, 19Kb)
8th Dr.- It's criminal, the idea that all of these things will be destroyed.
(The Stones of Venice, 29Kb)
8th Dr.- I'm curious about all sorts of things.
(The Stones of Venice, 17Kb)
8th Dr.- I'm afraid I don't believe in curses.
(The Stones of Venice, 17Kb)
8th Dr.- Which decade? All of them.
None of them. I don't really know anymore.
(The Stones of Venice, 57Kb)
8th Dr.- It all depends how long there is.
(The Stones of Venice, 12Kb)
Charley- Oh, you do it Doctor. You know
you LOVE it!
(The Stones of Venice, 33Kb)
8th Dr.- I don't much like the sound of that.
(The Stones of Venice, 17Kb)
8th Dr.- It is exciting, though, isn't
it? Really?!! Deep down, you must be a bit excited.
(The Stones of Venice, 53Kb)
8th Dr.- Fanatics always get on my nerves.
(The Stones of Venice, 17Kb)
8th Dr.- Fatalism!
(The Stones of Venice, 11Kb)
8th Dr.- Ahhhh, yes. Now we're
getting to it.
(The Stones of Venice, 32Kb)
Charley- Couldn't you do something about tiding
THIS place up.
8th Dr.-
The TARDIS? What's wrong with it?!!
Charley-
For a really futuristic ship, what you ought to have is gleaming white surfaces
and bright flashing controls and . . . I mean . . . it's the 1930's now,
Doctor. This place is something out of Jules Verne.
(The Stones of Venice, 177Kb)
8th Dr.- I think just as you've cheered up I've
caught a chill of gloom!
(The Stones of Venice, 40Kb)
8th Dr.- That's rather harsh.
(The Stones of Venice, 11Kb)
8th Dr.- Now WAIT, you lot! Don't do
anything hasty!
(The Stones of Venice, 31Kb)
8th Dr.- I'm an irregular kind of guy.
(The Stones of Venice, 20Kb)
8th Dr.- (TARDIS engine in the background)
I'll put the kettle on. And you put your feet up, or whatever it is you
do.
(The Stones of Venice, 43Kb)
8th Dr.- There's nothing I like more than
putting the kybosh on a really good, violent regime.
(The Stones of Venice, 51Kb)
8th Dr.- We're in their lair, are we?!! (sarcastically) How
fascinating! Mind you, it looks like a hundred other lairs I've been
in. Dust, brick wells, old blankets, damp! I bet there will be a few rats
in here too just for authentitude!
(The Stones of Venice, 130Kb)
Charley- Is it dangerous?
(sarcastically) I mean, OBVIOUSLY what I REALLY want is for you to put me in the
midst of a really life threatening situation. I'd really like that.
Oh, you've noticed that, of course.
(The Stones of Venice, 113Kb)
8th Dr.- Oh, I don't believe this!
Locked up again.
(The Stones of Venice, 39Kb)
8th Dr.- This isn't how it looks!
(The Stones of Venice, 14Kb)
8th Dr.- Me?!!
(The Stones of Venice, 5Kb)
8th Dr.- Actually, I'm lying back here in the
depths of melancholic thought.
(The Stones of Venice, 39Kb)
8th Dr.- I've been in much worse scrapes than
this, you know.
(The Stones of Venice, 19Kb)
8th Dr.- I just don't like nastiness, and
people getting away with it!
(The Stones of Venice, 27Kb)
8th Dr.- Think of it as whole new aesthetic
experience.
(The Stones of Venice, 26Kb)
8th Dr.-It sounds rather nice.
(The Stones of Venice, 14Kb)
8th Dr.- I wondered if you'd notice that.
(The Stones of Venice, 14Kb)
8th Dr.- Not really. No.
(The Stones of Venice, 13Kb)
8th Dr.- That's not so good.
(The Stones of Venice, 13Kb)
8th Dr.- Yes, of course.
(The Stones of Venice, 13Kb)
8th Dr.- Oh, great.
(The Stones of Venice, 12Kb)
8th Dr.- (incredulous) Oh! Would you
look at that! I'd completely overlooked it.
(The Stones of Venice, 40Kb)
8th Dr.- There's a party going on out
there. A last desperate carnival. One really fantastic, apocalyptic
"knees-up." Would you consider missing that for all the world?
(The Stones of Venice, 90Kb)
8th Dr.- Let's go then, Charley. I want to
have a good old poke around.
(The Stones of Venice, 28Kb)
8th Dr.- Someone has to do it. Someone
has to poke their noses into things.
(The Stones of Venice, 30Kb)
8th Dr.- Not asleep. Thinking. Having profound thoughts.
(The Stones of Venice, 33Kb)
8th Dr.- Yes, I've been here again and
again. I'm here to pay my respects.
(The Stones of Venice, 44Kb)
8th Dr.- Right.
(The Stones of Venice, 9Kb)
8th Dr.- But by the looks of it, we're safe
enough.
(The Stones of Venice, 16Kb)
8th Dr.- If I didn't everything would just go on the same.
(The Stones of Venice, 32Kb)
8th Dr.- And as for you lot, I don't carry
weapons! I don't need them! And I must say, I think you treat your
visitors here in a very shabby manner indeed! I'm glad I managed to-
Charley- Oh,
Doctor. GET IN (TARDIS doors slam shut, then machine guns fire)!
(The Stones of Venice, 129Kb)
8th Dr.- I have a ship.
Churchwell- You can't have!
8th Dr.- It's called the TARDIS. It's trustworthy and watertight, and
she's my oldest friend.
(The Stones of Venice, 82Kb)
8th Dr.- It's magnificent and charming, and often quite silent and sinister.
(The Stones of Venice, 48Kb)
8th Dr.- I'll snooze I think.
(The Stones of Venice, 15Kb)
8th Dr.- I've never been here at this time.
(The Stones of Venice, 22Kb)
8th Dr.- You've no right to treat us like this,
you know.
(The Stones of Venice, 20Kb)
Charley- And what do you do in your spare
time, Doctor?
8th
Dr.- Have a nice cup of tea . . . and dematerialize for a while. I'll put
the kettle on. And you put your feet up, or whatever it is you do.
(The Stones of Venice, 109Kb)
8th Dr.- Top marks!!!
(The Stones of Venice, 12Kb)
8th Dr.- A terrible lot! Just because I
put an end to their reign of terror. Didn't they know that's what I do?
(The Stones of Venice, 63Kb)
8th Dr.- Wait! Where are you going?
(The Stones of Venice, 15Kb)
8th Dr.- I don't see why not. We can
go absolutely anywhere we want. Do you want?
(The Stones of Venice, 49Kb)
8th Dr.- And you. Why are you here?
(The Stones of Venice, 15Kb)
8th Dr.- I can't bear it! You have to
struggle! You have to make it better! There's corruption here.
There's a whiff of something wrong.
(The Stones of Venice, 62Kb)
